UK Sci-Documentary: The Great Global Warming Swindle

As I am one of the victim of the pre-early spring pollen season in March (!?! no snow for months), I found an interesting documentary on climate and global warming. This film had premiere on Channel 4 in the UK, on March 8, 2007, directed by Martin Durkin, and shows how climate turned into political ideology. In 1 hr and 13 minutes you will hear interesting polemic and different opinions on causes of the global warming. From the source, a quote:

Martin Durkin has said that he deliberately chose a provocative title, and describes his work as “seriously controversial” (in the sense of creating controversy about serious issues). Channel 4, preempting the controversy, said, “It is essentially a polemic and we are expecting it to cause trouble, but this is the controversial programming that Channel 4 is renowned for.”

Some of the people who are interviewed in the film are Patrick Moore, co-founder of, but for the past 20 years a critic of, Greenpeace; Richard Lindzen, professor of meteorology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Nigel Calder, former editor of New Scientist; and Paul Reiter of the Pasteur Institute. Carl Wunsch was also interviewed, but has since said that he disagrees with the film’s conclusions and the way his interview material was used.
